Yup, that's just right. The microbial population in the gut are expecting
some variation on the theme of grass-beet pulp-grain and so handle it fairly
easily. The changes you want to try to avoid are things like never feeding
grain at home but plunking down a big pan of it at rides; feeding straight
alfalfa at home but grass hay at rides (or vice versa), no beet pulp at home
and tons at the ride---you get the idea.
Minor changes are unavoidable and not a problem, you just want to avoid big
changes, especially in feed "type", if you reasonably can.
