Corn (or any other vegetable oil) is 4.08 Mcal per lb, or about 1 Mcal per
cup. Rice bran is around 1.4 Mcal per lb.

Corn oil, unless it's cold-pressed (the grocery store brands are not) is
pretty much just a source of calories and fat. There are negligible amounts
of fat soluble vitamins in there, but not enough to bother about. If it's
cold-pressed, than it's also a good source of assorted antioxidants and
bioflavenoids.
Stabilized rice bran is alot more expensive, but aside from a convenient
source of fat, is also a good source of vitamin E, some B vitamins, and
phosphorus (which can be a double edged sword if overdone). It's also a
good source of fatty acids, generally not deficient with a halfway decent
diet, but there nonetheless.
Unstabilized rice bran makes good compost, period.
So it depends on what you're looking for from your fat source. If you're
looking strictly for concentrated calories, and a lot of them, and that's
about all, then corn oil is fine. If you're looking for the other stuff and
don't need tons and tons of calories, rice bran is fine as long as you don't
go crazy with the stuff (a few pounds is fine, but 8-10 lbs a day is not,
IMO). If you're going to feed rice bran at all, just be aware of the
calcium-phosphorus issues.
