Ridecamp: [RC] Perform 'n Win

Jim,

I just open up the bucket of PnW and let my mare stick her nose in and eat
to her heart's content! Just kidding, it's too expensive to let her do that,
but she would!

I just scoop it into her feed and she laps it up. If I scoop it into an
empty feed pan, she laps it up. No problem getting this stuff into the
horse.

I think the directions to put it in water are stupid when they'll eat it
free choice. I provide two water buckets because I use the camp water
instead of bringing my own. I find that my mare will drink the water
flavored with PnW first, then switch back and forth between the plain and
the flavored water.

For those of you using P 'n W in feed....How much do you give as a
"dose"? 3-4 ozs in a gallon of water doesn't make any sense to me. Do
you just mix 3 ozs in the feed/beet pulp?

I want to try using P 'n W  as a pre-load in the feed prior to the ride
instead of having to syringe LyteNow. (I will continue to use LyteNow
during the ride)
