Boarding SUCKS............
Does anyone know of any good pasture boarding in
Beavercreek, Oregon??
I have to move my 2 horses again cause my current
situation is not working out. One of my horses has been moved several times in
the last year cause boarding just plain SUCKS and its so hard to find a good
place. People lie to you and say that they will do this or this is what you have
for your boarding arrangement and then you move your horse there and it is not
what it was presented to you! Yes, I do have boarding agreements but that does
not help when you are not happy there. You still have to find a new place.
My current pasture is a GREAT place but the care
really lacks. And the shelter they said I would have 24/7 gets shut off for no
reason whatsoever--usually on the rainiest days--and I am constantly opening it
back up. I ask them to keep it open and they say they will but they don't. These
people "own" horses but are not "horse lovers." Their idea of checking horses
daily is a glance so when mine have been sick or injured they did not notice or
tell me. I was told when moving there that one of the owners had lots of horse
knowledge but she recently asked me what colic was!
I'm not that picky. Just big pasture, 3-sided
shelter with someone to put out grain and make sure they are well every day. I
live in the city almost 40 min. away so it is difficult for me to go every
day. I have to go that far to be near BLM land.
I think my horse thinks he is just travelling cause
every few months I move him again. I feel bad for him but eventually I hope we
will find a great place to stay awhile.
If anyone lives near Beavercreek, Oregon (S. of
Oregon City) and knows anyone who wants to make a few bucks a month, please
email me.
