Ridecamp: RE: [RC] Kickers/body dents

Well, I got an indentation in my cheek like a half hoof from
a 8 week old filly. I was catching her like any foal. an arm
around the chest and the other around the rear. Don't know
what happened but she pulled away and my cheek started to
burn! After an argument with my wife, I wanted a band aid
and she wanted me to see the Dr. I condescended to go to the
Doc-in-the-Box. Came home with 47 stitches. Then a year
later a horse threw its head and caught me directly in the
nose and mouth, that cost me the front teeth and a mashed
nose.

It is not when you are going to get hurt but how bad.

I had an outline of a hoof on my shin/calf.  I got on a mare
in a field
and her young buddy stallion wheeled around and nailed me.
I got an
x-ray cause it felt broke.  The doctor said the bone was
"compressed"...on the x-ray it didn't have the halo that the
bone usually
shows.  It stayed discolored like a bruise for a few years,
and the
indent stayed for several years but is gone now. I miss it.
It was one of
those "Oh yeah, well look at this" conversation pieces.  Dr.
said the fat
cells had been killed.  Gave me a whole new idea for a
diet....pummeling!
Count on *my* fat cells to come back from the dead.
