Re: [RC] Ground Control Horseshoes - TddWil

I haven't tried those but tried the Equiflex plastic shoes and didn't like them. They were shaped like a really wide web bar shoe and held dirt, causing fungus problems. The plastic also seemed to flex just enough to tear up the hoof around the nail holes. Traction on pavement was not the best either. I am now so irritated with the quality of farrier work available to me that after Old Dominion, the shoes (steel w/borium) are coming off and I will be doing my own trimming (natural trim) and will need to see if either the Old Mac's or Swiss boots will work for times when my horses need protection (no rocks here in Delaware). Easy boots ride too high in front for my horses(even cut down to the buckle). Good luck, I never found a shoe I was happy with.
