Ed, you said very succinctly what I have been wanting to say on this thread.
Yes, here in the NW there are specific riders one learns to stay away from,
simply because their horses repeatedly tend to be kickers, no matter who
they ride. And I remember one mare who was a notorious kicker (yep, ridden
by a rider of other kickers) here in the NW who went on to a new owner and
learned very quickly that that was unacceptable behavior.
