That's an old wive's tale. We have horses with white
hooves that are no problem and horses with black hooves that are crappy.
Depends on the quality of the hoof, not the color of the hoof. A white
hoof has no pigment in it and will show bruising more easily than a dark hoof
will. Ask to talk to the farrier about the feet and see what he/she
says.
