I like using CTR's to start the new ones. Less insanity. They have to learn
to pace themselves, go nicely along with the rest of the pack, and get
through a vet check as well as all the little things, like how to camp out,
eat while tied, not touch the electric fence while peeing...........

Of course, throwing them into the deep end does challenge your riding
skills!
