We used to do this at our rides since back then there were no
professional 25'ers who expected miles and points, just beginners testing
the waters...so we didn't bother paying sanction fees for them. Seems
like I remember them suggesting that the insurance wouldn't cover the
unsanctioned ride and using that angle...but that wouldn't have made
sense for us since we used our clubs insurance policy.
Will be interesting to see if those offering the $$ can take no for an
answer. Just watched the movie "Spy Games" last night and sure seemed
like people from that culture consider bribes "business as usual." This
is getting good. Come'on folks don't sell your soul for a little cash.
It'll be so fun seeing how someone reacts to a situation money won't
cure. >eg< :-))
