    Hi ride camp I have a question. We are going again to Fort Schellbourne this year and I have to think about SCRATCHES. I need advice, as to why endurance horses get scratches on a multi day ride. Last year we came home with one horse "Denny"
    with a mild case. Then we did the Outlaw Trail, and my horse got Scratches on both hinds the last day, it was a very bad case, which lasted 22 days. I got ointment from James Kerr, but you can't ride with it on your horse. I also got ointment from Crockett, but that did not help. What can I do to protect my horses from getting it and then what can I do if they get it?
