Ridecamp: [RC] oh the smell of horses!

I just went out to feed my precious mare. It is raining and she was standing in her shelter waiting for me to give her hay. After I put her hay in the feeder I found myself with my nose in her neck. (you all know the spot....right where the neck attaches to the shoulder:) This is a smell that is so wonderful to me.  The smell that has been part of my life for the past 30 years. All of the different horses that have been part of my life have this same smell. It is something that we can always count on. I think that this is something that is so special, and only us (horse people) can appreciate! Just wanted to share something so simple....... Linda and Shimmer
