   Kitty,you are the MFT expert in this crowd.Here's a clarifying/rhetorical question however:You are of neccessity traveling FAST,through rocky, muddy ,hilly,rutted country, full of downed saplings which are hidden by tall grass,and with many gullies. You have your choice of horse (either/any  breed)who will attack the problem with either 1)a definite head nodding RW/lope/Rw/lope or, 2)a definite FT.Surely you wouldn't prefer a fox-trot gait in that situation? These endurance folks,and the field trial folks are forced by circumstances to go pretty fast.
