On the subject of A-rabs--Owned my first one 14 years ago. Bought him greenbroke and thrown out to pasture to be an extra horse.  Bought him for $600, owned horses all my life--but a horse is a horse--right?  WRONG!!!

 

That A-rab will be 22 this spring and I now I own 2 and one on the way. Yes, at times it was perplexing, sometimes downright scary, but those two horses have taught me more about horses and horsemanship then any horse I have owned before or after.  There were times I too thought this was not the breed for me, but I wouldn't give in.  I'm glad I didn't.
