I think Howard has hit upon something again! If one controls the ears, one controls the horse. I love it. I am currently riding a red devil, ground pole hating gelding with "tippy" (isn't that a cute halter term) little foxy ears that point more and more forward as he becomes more and more anxious about something. When we ride up the trail past the neighbors blowing tarp covered RV behind the bushes, with barking dogs underneath, those ears get so tippy they point together like lightening rods. I am convinced that it they ever touch, the animal will explode and me along with him. I try diversionary tactics..."Look ! Over there! A peaceful green meadow", but he's a hotty. I am going to have to try the Linda Tellington neck reining Lariat and balance rein as seen on my new Christmas tape. I have already used the magic wand, the carrot stick, the joining up, the rope halter, the cows licks and got the animal to walk over the poles. Maybe when I go to Equinne Affaire, I can learn something new to control the dangerously pinned ears that greet me at feeding time each day. (And it's contagious amongst the barn animals) At least..., as my vet (who has even been on Animal Planet) so wisely pointed out..."They're aerodynamic!". Beth
