easy hay feeders
The 100 gallon water oval rubbermaid (or similar) tanks make great feeders,
almost indestructable, easy to clean and move, and horses can eat clean and
heads down.
I drill some holes in the top lip, use hay string to tie to fence if they
get pushed around too much. Grain is fine too.
If you have a real "hay thrower outer" just use more holes in the top, and
lace hay string across like a net, lid over the ends. Horse can easy eat
from the middle but can't push hay out over the ends. Still easy to dump
any unwanted leftovers or water if it gets wet.
