Re: safety on trail



I heard a very good tip re: when someone wants to pass you.  Generally,
people will try to ride their horse off the side of the trail, the horse
doesn't want to go, fusses and backs back into the trail, and the path of
the oncoming, passing, horse. ...etc... we've all been there..

the trick is to turn your horse to face the oncoming riders, once you get
off the trail, or even face them, then back off the trail. - this also helps
to keep your horse from wanting to follow so bad, if they are moving at a
faster pace.
