I strongly recommend "Horseshoes" by a company called
Roper.  These are not general shoes called Ropers... 
that is the brand name.  They're carried in the Valley
Vet catalog among other places.  They come in an
athletic shoe as well as a paddock boot style and
they're under $100.  100% quality leather
construction.  I can't wear mine out.
