Leads-self select?
Ray O'Donohue rno2m@virginia.edu
When you folks are cantering through rough terrain and around curves,to what extent if any do you intervene in your horses' lead selection? I barely know what a lead is,so i guess I need to learn.Chico selects his leads(and a lot of other things) as he sees fit. And,since one of his canter leads is much better than the other, should I force him to work some on that less-favored lead?(If so,the only way i would know how to do that would be to force him to stay on that when it shows up,as long as we are in decent terrain and don't need to hurry.)
