RE: equine vet care books
For a reference book, I haven't found anything better than
"Illustrated Atlas of Clinical Equine Anatomy and Common Disorders
of the Horse" - Ronald J. Riegel & Susan E Hakola.
Has great illustrations, descriptions, and treatments. This was recommended
by Tom Ivers. It really is a good one. Volume one is Musculoskeletal System
& Lameness Disorders. I think Volume Two is Reproduction and Internal.

Subject: RC: equine vet care books
Hi -
What veterinary type books do people have that they find really useful? I
have the "How To Be Your Own Veterinarian (Sometimes)", but it doesn't
always have enough details to be satisfying. I'm not trying to avoid
calling out a vet for problems, but I'd like to know more about bandaging,
poulticing & other horse-owner chores.
Thanks -
Michelle
