2) Get a dalmation. The Dalmation club puts on road trials across the
   country. These are just like endurance rides, but the dogs are
   judged and can be presented for best condition awards. I would
   recommend the TV show "breed all about it". The dalmation video
   is available from animal planet http://www.discovery.com and
   shows some road trial footage.The book "the perfect match" by chris    
walkowicz is wonderful as it goes through every breed's temperment    and 
care requirements.
