tying up
You have to also add vitamin E with a selenium
supplement. The two work together. I imagine Susan or Heidi can give
a better explanation but selenium alone will not help the problem. I don't
know what the selenium levels are in Nebraska but I am from Michigan, not far
from Illinois and if Michigan is totally deficient, I bet Illinois is low
also. It could be a change in feed, grass, hay, etc. Have you had her
selenium levels checked? I believe there are other blood tests that vets
recommend to determine the causes of tying up... any other comments or
suggestions for this gal? Don't give up....if anyone can help you find a
solution, it'll be someone here on RC! :)
