I have two young geldings-10 months and 18 months -that have
cooperatively dug a 2 1/2 foot hole in their pastures.  When it rains
and fills with water they drink out of it.  Otherwise they jump it when
playing in the pasture.  They have lots of room and other toys so why do
they dig?  I'd love to know.
