Just to put in a correction:

It is my understanding that these boots are USD 135 a PAIR, not
each.  Which would make the total cost, all around $270.

If they truely do last for 6 months (and the guarantee is included
for no matter how much riding you do), then that doesn't sound
like all that bad of a price to me.
