Re::*Witez II bloodlines
a number of years ago i purchased a half arab 3 year old mare who was a
Witez II granddaughter, she had only been touched by humans once in those 3
years -- at 6 months of age when she had a dog bite in her rear stitched.
took us 4 adults a while to get her in to where we could actually catch
her, and a while to get her into the straight load 2 horse trailer.
she rode like a doll for the 2 hour ride home, never a pull or move on her
part.
got home, she didn't know how to backup so stood like a rock while we took
the center divider out of the trailer so she could turn around.
mind, prior to all of this, she had never had any handling or halter training.
i took her to her first show, UNDER saddle in a bosal, after having her for
only 3 weeks and placed high up in the pleasure class.
i've never worked with a more eager to learn, calm dispositioned horse and
i've started a lot of young ones over the years. btw, once we got her home
and hands on her, the old stitches were still there in her rear!
