Re: Comfortable Riding Pants
Hi there,
I find the Aussie coats are great if you're not racing. They are warm and
water/wind proof and have lots of pockets for stuff. The down side to them
is that they don't breathe very well and they are heavy, hence not good for
racing. I live in northern Alberta and wear a short one with a light wool
jacket underneath all winter to ride and chore in and I always stay warm.
I have found that the newer coats don't have as much water proofing as they
used to, so you may have to re-proof your coat before you wear it if it's
new. The two brands I have worn are Australian Outback and Koolah and I
like them both. Hope this helps.

saddle for very long hours, day after day after day...
