Just start riding him regularly...maybe every other day. Don't get
carried away with conditioning programs or you'll have him ready to do a
fast 50 and he'll drive you crazy on a conservative 25. Burn off your
extra desire to train by getting yourself in shape...walk, bike, do
stairs, anything to work yourself a little. A 25 mile ride won't hurt
him one bit if you've been giving him regular conservative rides, but an
aggressive training program can hurt one quick if you don't know what
you're doing. Have fun. Read everything you can get your hands on and
start riding.
