RE: Short Bed v. Long Bed
The best bet is to buy a cab and chassis rig and put an 8'6"
flat bed on it. That way you never have any interference
between the trailer and truck body, you can haul anything
and everything on the flat bed and you do not have all that
tin to get scratched and dented. The hitch ball is below the
bed with a cover over it so you always have a smooth bed.
You have much better rear vision and can hook up that much
easier.
Just so many reasons to go that way I cannot list them all.
Oh, forgot, the c/c setup even with the flat bed is cheaper
to buy.

I need some help folk...and soon too, please. I'm in the
market for a new
truck and am seriously considering a short bed Power Stroke.
I'd like to
hear from those of you who have experience towing a
gooseneck with a short
bed vehicle. Other than the short turning radius, are their
other
considerations? Thanks, in advanc.
