From: Erica BramhallSent: Friday, December 21, 2001 2:05 AMTo: RIDE CAMPSubject: RC: Trot, Trot, TrotThis is a great subject. Thanks for whoever brought it up. But my problem is NOT getting my mare to trot. it is getting her to trot without running me over! She trots real fast and always at an angle- toward me. I tried positioning myself in front of her to stop her from running into me, but guess what, she can trot faster than I can run. How 'bout that. So, unless we are comic relief for the vet ( which was the case at Far Out Forest)- we have to start over. It gets tiring you know.Any help with this would be deeply appreciated. I have a young mare, she is 4. When we practice at home, she is fine. No other distractions around to get her excited. I see you guys trotting out with a very well behaved, calm , all together horse and know that I am missing something. HELPErica- the rookie

Dear Erica:
I think I can identify with your problem. I think I can tell you exactly what your problem is in two words: Your Trainer. You know, that guy, I believe you're still married to him, that has such a wacky way of training, that only he can handle the horses he's trained, which, alas, includes your young mare that he's had his hands on since she was 6 months old. His methods have gone too far and too deep with this one; she's almost as bad as Dance Line.
My suggestion to you is to get another trainer. Or, perhaps, reinvent the wheel. Good luck with that one. haha.
cya,
Howard (sorry, I couldn't resist it)
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOD BLESS US, EACH AND EVERY ONE (except for Taliban, al Qaeda, and any others who think killing innocent people is OK)
