Re: Re: hoof soreness

I would like substantial proof from preferably an AAEP Vet that proves that
this can even happen. I think this is something Strasser came up with to
convince people that her way is the only way. Until I see irrefutable
scientific veterinarian evidence that the complex circulatory system in a
horse's hoofs can be effected in the way you describe it's all a bunch of
hog wash! And I researched the Strasser methods, many people that know me
from my other lists know that I did this a couple years back. I saw no
scientifically proven evidence that this is the case, it was all hearsay.

I say prove it, if you are going to tout it you need to prove it! Ridecamp
is THE place where rookie riders come for information on how to do this
sport correctly with minimal damage to their horse. The spreading of
hearsay and zealot trends risks these people (and their horses) who are
trying to learn this sport in a conscientious manner. So if you have this
evidence then lets see it, show us where the papers are published by AAEP
vets or Equine Research D.V.M.s who have done research on the subject of
shoes effecting the circulation and making their feet so numb that it MASKS
PAIN. Show me any vet who agrees with Strasser and can PROVE she's right!
