Death Valley

When I told Lynne I'd help her out at Death Valley a couple weeks ago I
was looking forward to some time away from home.  Hubby and I have been
doing cold weather camping for decades, so those bone chilling nights
shouldn't be much of a problem (as long as I don't have to get up to go
to the bathroom).  Lots of hot soup to keep me warm in the evenings and a
good book to while away the hours during the day when Lynne and Ember are
out enjoying the scenery (definitely not a school book -I'm a genius by
the way :-)) 
Then it dawned on me last night when I finally informed Hubby I was going
away for a few days ... no kiss at midnight on New Years!  What a bummer.
 I like Lynne, but not that much.  Next time I volunteer for someone
would somebody please knock me upside the head!!
