Questions about a bit

Ridecamp is a little slow so I thought I'd see if someone can answer some
questions about this bit I have.  I purchased some secondhand Arab show
tack. All of it was origanally bought from Schneider's Saddlery in 1979. I
have looked in several tack catalogs and haven't been able to find this bit.
It has a fairly narrow jointed mouthpeice. The two joints are connected by a
narrow 1" ring. On the lower half of the ring are two cheerio sized copper
rings. The bit has 7"shanks and a slobber bar. It is a fairly heavy bit with
very deep,inticately etched silver pattern. It is stamped A.Tietjen,Reno,NV.
Any info. about this bit would be appreciated. I've been keeping  it on
display on my mantel(it really is gorgeous!),but am wondering what this bit
was used for.
