Tim don't give up your Rustler's.  SaddleBums makes something called Cowboy Underwear.  It gives you padding in all the right places.  You do want to make sure your jeans have flat seams on the inseam so you don't get rubs.  Cowboy Underwear in stock or you can order right from the company.
