I do have a standardbred mare who's used for recreational riding and as
a school horse.  She's got a good work history behind her over the last
few years.  Haven't done any rides on her, as she's more lateral and I
prefer the trotting variety of horse for long miles ... but I sure think
she could do it easily - LD CTR, that is.  Time would tell how she'd
handle longer milage.

BTW, she's for sale if anyone's interested!!
