Hi Angie.
Once a horse is in condition, then I understand that conditioning can be
maintained by the intense longer sessions. I think it has something to do
with muscle memmory. Does this ring a bell with you?
So, once the horse has reached a level of preparation and can achieve the
endurance goals we have in mind, one should be able to work out for longer
periods at a time, and then longer interludes between. Still doesn't
preclude the need to develop the horse for the terrain.
