We've seen things like this when companies forget to wire the trailer before 
it's done! They used to stick it under the chrome trim & insert, but then 
not many people use that type of trim anymore. Never seen one that was done 
on purpose.
We do not feel it would be safe. If it was jerked loose by a tree limb it 
could short out & cause a fire. It would be better run through a piece of 
conduit under the trailer. It would be possible to add a conduit inside the 
horse compartment, but it would take a lot of work if it's a trailer with 
living quarters.
