One year I was too busy to trailer anywhere to train (and couldn't any 
longer ride off our CA property) so I would just ride around the outside of 
our 250' x 110' arena.  I forget how many times I had to go around to get 
the ten miles that I wanted to get (LOTS), but I did it!  I'd go pretty 
fast, too, to get it over with.  I was saving about 2 or 3 hours of trailer 
time by conditioning this way, so it was worth it.  Fortunately I only had 
to condition around the arena for about a month.  Never again.
