Hi Karla -

I have had good luck with the nylon ones. I got a set after Bobby wiped out on pavement, and the uncovered aluminum ones gouged up his side (now I use leather-covered or nylon). I have heard of a nylon one breaking on someone around here once, but so far they are working out well for us.
