Re: RC:  ? horseshoes/traction
Have you tried the St Croix Eventers?  They are a wide web rim shoe that
(IME) provides good traction without grabbing at the heels (no crease at
the heel) and a nice even breakover wherever the horse wants it (sort of
a half-round effect once they're broken in).  
They give decent traction even on asphalt, but I'm still careful ...
