RE: Marking an Endurance Ride with a GPS

"If (God forbid) GPS units become a requirement for endurance riding"

If anyone is proposing this, this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard
of!

Just mark the darn trail. Remember: That which is simplest is best.

Speaking for the technologically challenged here.....I am a person who
decided that the Heart Rate Monitor was too distracting and techy for me.
My
digital camera remains a complete mystery -- its still holding captive
pictures that I took at the Grand Canyon ride....LAST year (nevermind that
my
kids can operate it perfectly). Don't even ask about programming a VCR (I
can set the clock, that's it).

If (God forbid) GPS units become a requirement for endurance riding, I'll
never make it back to camp. 'Course if that happens, I'll just go to rides
that Karen Chaton goes to and follow HER, pestering her continually with
stupid questions about how to operate my GPS (I already drove her nuts with
questions about the digital camera).
