Winter riding & camping

Hi -

 

Does anyone fall/winter camp or distance trailride (not necessarily at speed or conditioning).

 

What do you/your horse wear? Clothing, tack, horse clothing, etc.

 

What do you carry? Shelter, supplies, food, protection, etc.

 

Day ride/camp or overnite? Trailer, backcountry, etc.

 

Self-carry or use a pack horse?

 

Where do you go? Place, type of terrain. etc.

 

I love fall/winter riding, but have trouble finding riding partners this time of the year. There are too darn many indoor arenas!
