Jim, wake up...she meant hotel rooms are cheaper if you wanted to come in on a Thursday and stay thru Sunday.    What you are forgetting is all of us are also on tight schedules and cannot devote all our time to just one thing or another.  I have found the opposite thing from what Bob said to be true...Many times I do not get to attend a single seminar ...Have to run to the trade show for a "quickie" in between meetings..Much of this is my fault as I used to get on many many committees and then liked to attend a couple of others, just to see what is happening.  I have cut down and last year even got to listen to 2 speakers...Pretended it was research for the convention committee.
On the other hand, if the reception after the membership meeting is a party.....I could probably squeeze it in...LOL  that reminds me, you can catch some directors at the dance and if it's late enough and you can get them off the tables, you might really have a captive ear.
