One more factor...shoeing. My mare will stumble and trip if I let her go
more than 6 weeks between shoeing. My new farrier is wonderful, arrives
early, is good with horses and kids and is experienced with endurance
horses. He also writes me an appointment card for the next shoeing-and gives
it to me. Heaven-need to make that man some cookies!
