It fits perfectly. She is the only endurance saddle maker that I know of that has a tree that will fit a mule with an endurance saddle. As far as the gait, I think its whatever you and your mule are comfortable with. If you do go to the trot as your preference, I do think you will loose your mule's gaited walk in the future.
