Ya know, the fall weather here is making my horse crazy. He thinks that all the rocks are going to eat him. He’s not spinning but doing that big leap to the side while galloping. Good thing I don’t have my real flat English saddle anymore!

Just my 2c
I've found that after a "holiday", Ibn will spook at anything and everything when first going out again. Then the spooking dips to almost non-existent then as he gets fitter, he'll spook again, but this time for fun. Very often it will be at something already gone past, as if to say "oh dear, forgot to spook at that rock, so now is a good time".
Get to know your own horse. Oh, and the high head? Better to have some nicely sculpted ears and beautifully muscled neck to look at than nothing at all, huh?
Smiles
