RE: ShortBed vs. LongBed
I am also looking for a new truck and have been pondering the long bed vs.
short bed decision. I have heard some people say you cannot pull a
gooseneck trailer with a short bed and others say you can, but it has to be
mounted EXACLTY right in the bed so as not to hit the cab of the truck.
Haven't had a chance to talk to any trailer manufacturers yet.

Subject: RC: ShortBed vs. LongBed
I'd appreciate any input on whether it matters on an extended cabtruck
(3/4t - powers not the issue) if the bed is long or short. I have a
gooseneck V-nose trailer. Have always used an 8ft. long bed ext. cab
truck. Would a 6 1/2ft. short bed (ext. cab) present any problems? IE-
would manuevering to avoid hitting the rear window or other driver-error
( type hazards become much more of factor with 1 1/2' less bed?
