Re: RC:  Trot vs Canter
Depends on the horse - put a heart rate monitor on the horse and you'll be 
able to tell pretty quickly which is the most efficient gait for your 
horse. Or just ride him a bunch :) and you'll figure it out that way too.
I've learned that the *big* trot isn't always the best way to cover ground 
- often the HR was lower at an easy canter than at the big trot.
