[Fwd: Re: RC: Blankets]
I don't normally blanket either, but if the weather is bad at a ride, I
would like to get Sunny dry and warm without all that heat buildup. The
best I've found is the Gore-Tex HIB sheet made by Classic Cover-ups.
They also make a blanket. They are not cheap. ABout $229 for the
blanket, $205 for the sheet. However, they are almost impossible to rip
and the horse dries quickly without being chilled. I have been VERY
pleased with my sheet, which is what I recommend unless you live in the
great frozen north. If you have ever owned a Gore-Tex jacket, you know
how windproof and waterproof they are.
They have an Ad in Equus this month....Page 72. Think you can order
direct by calling (610)932-9400. Perhaps they will send you literaure.
It's sorta like saddles....you can spend lots of money trying various
ones or custom order one you KNOW works.
