I have had great success with the PVC (waffle looking) type girths and
cinches. Wintec makes some english types, Millers has english ones with
elastic and there are some western cinches made. They are very soft,
flexible, sweat drains away from under them and I've never had them rub or
sweat scald my very sensitive mare.
