As a deer hunter's widow (and I mean this literally), wearing orange doesn't do much to stop someone who has "deer fever." Riding in the woods during hunting season is just not safe and not my cup of tea. The young man who shot my husband simply saw something moving in the woods; he shot twice without checking his scope. Please don't assume that wearing blaze orange or wearing a bell will keep you safe when hunting season is open.
